Abstract

The present degree work called "Quality of educational communication and its incidence in the formative performance of adolescents of the "Jambelí" school, located in the city of Santa Rosa, plays an essential role at a general level, since this generates support for teachers, educational authorities, students and parents who are immersed in the institution. The importance of this work lies in the fundamental pillar that educational communication has become to obtain favorable results in student participation. In the same way, relevance is given to the importance of the social worker within the educational institution, given that, together with the counseling department (DECE) they are the integral support for the students, since they seek to address the problems that arise and are affecting the communication and relationship between teachers and students is not being generated properly. Therefore, they seek to improve harmony among the participants of the educational unit, for this reason, the main objective of this study is to analyze the impact of the quality of educational communication in the educational performance of adolescents of the "Jambelí" School during the year 2023. For the development of the study work, a mixed approach was used, that is to say, it includes a qualitative approach, since the research revolves around the description of the problem, its characteristics, causes and consequences in the academic performance of high school sophomores. Meanwhile, the quantitative approach is used in the examination of data using numerical magnitudes in the area of statistics to respond to the central hypothesis. Regarding the research instruments, a literature review will be carried out to learn about the general characteristics of the problem, as well as field observations to visualize the problem in the classroom and the actions of teachers, in order to be able to transmit situations to the classroom. School relationships will also be examined, teachers and students will understand the processes they use when faced with bad relationships and, ultimately, a questionnaire will be carried out with teachers, students and the DECE. In this context, the results obtained show that the objective of the research was achieved, since it has been possible to demonstrate the problems that exist within the institution with respect to communication between teachers and students, therefore, an effective communication protocol was used to inform those involved of the actions that will be carried out to improve those aspects that are affecting the participation of adolescents. For this reason, it can be concluded that in the Colegio de Bachillerato "Jambelí" during 2023, new ways of establishing relationships between students and teachers are proposed, in order to achieve the goals proposed as an institution and especially with a view to improving the academic and formative performance of their students, and in turn their participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
