Manejo integral de los trastornos de identidad sexual en atención primaria de salud

Abstract

Introduction: Disorders of sexual identity belong to the group of sexual perversions, it is important that the doctor act in an empathic way, and carry out a correct comprehensive management of these patients, taking into account that they may have certain peculiarities in their management, according to how they identify sexually.

Objective: To establish the comprehensive evaluation of patients with identity disorders in primary health care.

Method: The review of scientific literature was carried out, in databases such as: SCIELO, ELSEIVER, PUBMED, COCHRANE AND CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINES.

Conclusion: Disorders of sexual identity make up an important group within the national, regional and global population, therefore it is important that primary health care medical personnel know what is the most appropriate and optimal management for these patients. and being able to approach them in an integral way, and always respecting the sexual identity of the patient.
