dc.descriptionEn el presente caso de estudio, una mujer de 25 años de edad presenta la siguiente sintomatología: diarrea, fiebre, dolor abdominal, palidez, pérdida de apetito y dolor muscular, por lo que se diagnostica una infección gastrointestinal por Shigella. El objetivo de estudio fue establecer una relación clínica entre la sintomatología, el tratamiento y la prevención a través de una exhaustiva revisión bibliográfica. Para la resolución del presente caso clínico se seleccionó artículos científicos de alto impacto relacionados con el agente etiológico, las infecciones gastrointestinales, el tratamiento y la prevención, de manera que la información sea certera. Luego de una revisión exhaustiva, el tratamiento para las infecciones gastrointestinales se compone de un suero oral que ayude a la rehidratación de la paciente, un antibiótico, en este caso el ciprofloxacino que elimina la bacteria como tal y un probiótico que recupere la flora bacteriana.es_ES
dc.description.abstractIn the present study case, a 25-year-old woman presents the following symptoms: diarrhea, fever, abdominal pain, paleness, loss of appetite and muscle pain, so a gastrointestinal infection due to Shigella is diagnosed. The objective of the study was to establish a clinical relationship between symptomatology, treatment and prevention through an exhaustive literature review. For the resolution of the present clinical case, high-impact scientific articles related to the etiological agent, gastrointestinal infections, treatment and prevention were selected, so that the information is accurate. After an exhaustive review, the treatment for gastrointestinal infections consists of an oral serum that helps rehydrate the patient, an antibiotic, in this case the ciprofloxacin that eliminates the bacteria as such and a probiotic that recovers the bacterial floraes_ES
