Establecer la relación clínica, el tratamiento y la prevención en infecciones gastrointestinales producidas por <b><i>shigella spp</i></b>

Abstract

In the present study case, a 25-year-old woman presents the following symptoms: diarrhea, fever, abdominal pain, paleness, loss of appetite and muscle pain, so a gastrointestinal infection due to Shigella is diagnosed. The objective of the study was to establish a clinical relationship between symptomatology, treatment and prevention through an exhaustive literature review. For the resolution of the present clinical case, high-impact scientific articles related to the etiological agent, gastrointestinal infections, treatment and prevention were selected, so that the information is accurate. After an exhaustive review, the treatment for gastrointestinal infections consists of an oral serum that helps rehydrate the patient, an antibiotic, in this case the ciprofloxacin that eliminates the bacteria as such and a probiotic that recovers the bacterial flora
