Abstract

Introduction: Gastric cancer is the fourth cause of death from neoplasms worldwide, its etiology is multifactorial, denoting Helicobacter Pylori and its oncogenic mechanisms as the main risk factor, toxic habits, unhealthy dietary habits, genetic diseases and alterations are also associated. consequences that induce cellular modifications in patients even under 40 years of age. The identification of these and other risk factors in conjunction with prevention could help reduce said incidence. Objective: To provide updated information about the risk factors for gastric cancer through bibliographic reviews of various scientific articles from the last five years, to provide guidelines that allow correct prevention of the disease in primary health care.
