Abstract

The work focused on the socioeconomic factors that influence obesity in tenth grade students from the Manuela Cañizares School, where the general objective is to analyze the influence of social and economic factors on the prevalence of obesity in students, as well as the specific objectives of examining the relationship between the family income level and the increase in obesity in tenth grade students, identifying how the family's housing conditions influence access to healthy foods in adolescents, and finally, developing a methodological guide with obesity prevention activities and strategies that allows Physical Education teachers to effectively involve adolescents in the development of obesity prevention strategies. families of students. The data collection was done using a quantitative approach with descriptive research to study the reality that occurs in the Manuela Cañizares Basic Education School. The analytical and synthetic method consisted of the literature of the articles that helped to collect information in line with the specific and general objectives. The sample was taken into consideration the students of the upper basic, specifically the tenth-grade course. The determined instruments were survey and statistics in relation to the research objects for the creation of the two instruments that arise from the dimensions, from which the indicators arise, then the Likert scale is used allowing the obtaining of the exact data of the answers to the questions by the students. The objective of the proposal helps the development of the methodological guide, since its elaboration allows to identify and understand the socioeconomic factors that impact on the obesity of the students, with the purpose of providing a theoretical and practical approach to promote the integral well-being of those affected. The process of the guide consists of these phases, resources, assessment and technical, economic, social and environmental dimensions, thus indicating the ability to obtain the objectives of this research, since it establishes its feasibility and its functionality of the resources to carry them out in the project.
