Afectaciones de la inseguridad ciudadana en las condiciones socioeconómicas de las familias de la lotización Primero de Noviembre, Pasaje, 2023

Abstract

The objective of the university titling project was to identify the effects generated by the citizen insecurity in the socioeconomic conditions of the families of the Primero de Noviembre neighbourhood. The research was based on two sociological theories: Talcott Parsons' theory of structural functionalism and the economic sociology. These theories say that society is a system with organs that develop roles, whose incorrect functioning can alter the social reality in a determined context. About the methodology, the mixed approach was used, since qualitative and quantitative methods were combined, as for the epistemological approach, the empirical-inductive, rational-deductive and hypothetico-deductive approach were used, in relation to the research techniques, were applied: the questionnaire, interview and observation, which were applied through structured instruments (interview guide, survey form and observation guide). To collect field information, the sampling method was used through the mathematical formula that resulted in a sample of 145 research units that were applied through research instruments to the inhabitants of the Primero de Noviembre neighbourhood of the Pasaje town, El Oro province, the interview was carried out with the staff of workers from the Municipal GAD of the Pasaje town and with representatives of this neighborhood. The observation allowed us to collect information about the problems and verify everything that could not be verified using other techniques. Through the applied research techniques, the underlying causes of the problem were identified, revealing a high level of insecurity, poor management of the neighborhood committee and lack of presence of the authorities, which results are detailed in this report and they served as guidance for the approach of the proposal of the "Project to increase the community organization and improve the quality of life of the Primero de Noviembre neighborhoood", whose theoretical approach is based on the theory of social systems of Niklas Luhmann, which refers to the fact that communication and organization are crucial for community cohesion and participation. Within the framework of the proposal to increase the community organization and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants, activities such as training, educational workshops and forums were planned, with the support of the Municipal GAD of Pasaje. These actions seek to increase the leadership skills and participation of residents in decision-making and strategies to address the territory's problems. The proposal includes operational planning with specific actions to be executed by the Department of Control and Social Justice of the Municipal GAD of Pasaje and the neighborhood committee, with deadlines to evaluate results and achieve objectives, in addition to a budget that guarantees technical, economic, social and environmental of the project.
