Abstract

In the present research study entitled "Pictorial installation as an expressive medium to represent the importance of teaching-learning on art education in the school stage", it is proposed how art has been a mediator of emotions for centuries and why it is a crucial and influential branch within the education of the present 21st century. We are currently in a scenario that demands a greater presence of the arts, since they not only contribute to the cultural heritage and the restructuring of historical memory, but are also crucial for the creative development of children and their ability to carry out artistic tasks. The problems that are visible in the learning environment of art education are diverse, but this study focuses on how the lack of an adequate teacher affects the area of knowledge, in addition to reflecting on the importance of this subject in the educational field and the contribution provided by the development of artistic activities within the classrooms. For the execution of the artistic proposal, a mini drawing and painting workshop was developed at the Dr. Francisco Ochoa Ortiz school in the city of Machala, where students of 5th year of basic education participated, whom after acquiring basic knowledge about these areas related to the plastic arts, made important contributions of which are part of the final work. The purpose of the pictorial installation proposal is to encourage the development of artistic activities that contribute to the enrichment of the educational, artistic and cultural experience, as well as to inspire, raise awareness and promote the integration of art within the educational and social sphere. This installation not only aims to generate harmony in the space, but also to generate a dialogue between the public and the work, to invite the viewer to reflect on its importance. During the process, artistic references were visualized, which allow the development of the proposal, resulting in the elaboration of three paintings, one made with the oil technique (layers) and two with the acrylic technique, these canvases have the purpose of understanding the creative process of the children from the imagination to the creation of the final product, These are part of the pictorial installation, as well as the intervention of thirty-two works made by the students of the school using the technique of acrylic on cardboard. In addition, during the presentation, body painting was carried out, which allowed the interaction and participation of the work with the public. From the following research and presentation regarding the artistic proposal, it seeks to highlight four important aspects for which it was summarized as follows: as a first point, to highlight the importance of art education in the integral development of students, what is the role that it plays within the learning process, as well as the relevance of creative development and its contribution to the educational and cultural experience in the school context.
