Diagnóstico de las potencialidades turísticas de Puerto Pitahaya en el cantón Arenillas, año 2023.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the tourism potential of Puerto Pitahaya to promote the development of the Arenillas canton. Which has little tourist diffusion, according to the survey carried out through Google Forms. As a result, it is proposed to plan an experiential ecotourism product for the tourist dissemination of the sector through the experience with local crab catchers. This study combined quantitative and qualitative methods. In addition, the current situation of Puerto Pitahaya in the tourism context was analyzed, using scientific research instruments to establish the state of the art. It applies scientific research instruments such as ranking and observation sheets, and interviews to determine the feasibility of creating an experiential ecotourism product. As a result, the characteristics of experiential tourism in the community of Puerto Pitahaya were identified, which include the identity, culture, customs and traditions of the place. These riches could be used for the well-being of the community and economic growth, as well as for the tourist's contribution to tourism.
