Museografía como estrategia de difusión y puesta en valor del patrimonio inmaterial del ferrocarril Pasaje - La Peaña.

Abstract

The present research is called "Museography as a strategy for dissemination and enhancement of the intangible heritage of the Pasaje city - La Peaña". It is oriented to disseminate the history of the old railroad route which is intangible cultural heritage of Ecuador and is located in La Peaña, belonging to the Pasaje city. Museography can be used to disseminate the history of the railroad, its cultural importance and its impact on the life of local communities. In this context, museography becomes a key strategy for the preservation and dissemination*n of intangible cultural heritage. The qualitative methodology will be used to obtain important data through interviews with historians and local people, as well as the collection of information through bibliographic review and observation. The final general result of the study is that the lack of diffusion of the extinct railroad line causes its unknown and loss of symbolic values, which highlights the need to make a proposal that implies the touristic diffusion of the heritage through museography.
