Análisis de tiktok y su incidencia en la construcción digital en los estudiantes de bachillerato de la unidad educativa ciudad de machala

Abstract

The main means of social interaction today are social networks, that is, we are facing a much more digitized society than in other times, this can be seen in the culture of the population, practices and customs, as well as the emergence of different social networks, considering this context, the objective of the research is to analyze the use of TikTok and its impact on the construction of digital identity in young people of the Ciudad de Machala Educational Unit; The research is also descriptive and explanatory, the approach is qualitative, the population will consist of all students of the Educational Unit City of Machala, Machala canton who are enrolled between the courses of 1st of high school to 3rd high school, that is, students aged between 13 years old and older, from which the sample size was obtained, the same will be 172 students. The research is of great interest for the academic context because it deals with a current issue that may be affecting today's society and particularly the students of the Unidad Educativa Ciudad de Machala. he Unidad Educativa Ciudad de Machala has been chosen for this research because it is a large and diverse educational institution. The social network TikTok has been selected because of the impact it has had during the last few years on the worldwide adolescent public. The instrument to be used to collect the information will be the questionnaire of closed questions in order to know the digital identity of adolescents and the use of the social network TikTok, aimed at adolescents of the Educational Unit City of Machala, Machala canton, in addition to this, three professional teachers or psychologists will be interviewed. The students will be divided between boys and girls. We will proceed to measure the behavior of adolescents on the TikTok platform, after which they will be tabulated using the statistical software SPSS v.26, to finally graph the results and draw conclusions. It is concluded that the use of the social network TikTok does have an impact on the construction of digital identity in the youth of the Educational Unit Ciudad de Machala, but the impact of this will depend on the student using it, since there are disadvantages and advantages that this network offers. It is suggested that some researchers conduct studies about the social network TikTok according to gender. While it is true that our study specifies at some points the contributions of men and women, other results could be obtained in greater depth if there were comparative studies.
