Abstract

The objective of this research work is to describe the role of the social worker in the processes of social integration through research to obtain information about the functions that are developed in the educational area through the information collection instruments to provide a contribution not only to the educational institution but to society in general. The role of the social worker in the educational area is fundamental for a good development of the student because it provides the necessary support so that the students can function in an ideal way in the face of the present situations during their academic time and their stages of life, being that bridge between State institutions and their family or representative. For its diagnosis, a survey applied to 2nd year high school students will be used to find out their experiences, experiences and how they react to the problems existing in the educational institution and a structured interview with the staff of the DECE Student Counseling Department, to find out their actions against these problems and make a balance between what is, is done and is proposed for their solution. Its intervention plan is aimed at family integration because there are many cases of absence of the legal representative in the academic stage of the students, thus forgetting their commitment and responsibility that they acquire when exercising this role. When parents do not carry out an adequate accompaniment in their tasks, in their feelings, in their academic achievements or difficulties, it makes the student take a quemeimportismo in front of their tasks, causing low academic performance. At the end, it was possible to present this strategic plan to strengthen family ties in the educational institution, which the staff of the DECE student counseling department of the Nueve de October school stated that it is good material, it will be presented and evaluated with the school commissions to be applied in this academic regime that they are going to start, because as it is a new material it must enter an audit because what is sought is to benefit all the members of the educational establishment and continue in the search for instruments that contribute to the well-being of the student body.
