Análisis del aporte del sector agropecuario al comercio exterior ecuatoriano en el periodo 2010 al 2020.

Abstract

Ecuador has maintained since its inception in the sixties an economy based on resources obtained from the agricultural sector, which contributes to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) with a participation of 29% and 25% by the Economically Active Population (EAP) . The objective of this research is to analyze the contribution of the agricultural sector in Ecuadorian foreign trade in the period 2010 to the year 2020. The documentary type methodology was applied based on bibliographic searches of secondary sources such as official sites of governmental, national and international pages. . Of the products that stand out in Ecuadorian foreign trade, we have among the most important: bananas, cocoa, flowers, shrimp and canned tuna, these are the ones that contribute the most foreign exchange through their commercialization to different destinations, where the resources are imported for to meet internal demands. Thus, in 2020, agricultural exports represented approximately 15% of Ecuador's total remittances, with a value of more than 2 billion dollars.
