Transporte internacional como factor de competitividad en las exportaciones ecuatorianas.

Abstract

In the development of international trade, different parameters influence the competitiveness of foreign trade operators, one of these parameters is international transport, which is considered a key strategic factor in foreign trade, for this purpose to solve the practical case. Raised on the choice of the best international transport to export Ecuadorian Miski chocolates to Peru, the objective was to determine the type of international transport viable in the export of Ecuadorian Miski chocolates to Peru in order to reduce logistics costs and duration of the product. The type of research is applied and techniques such as the study of documents and theoretical methods such as analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive and systematization were used. The results indicate that the choice of means of transport should be based on the type of merchandise, load capacity, cost, safety and delivery time. Maritime transport has a high load capacity, but very long terms, air transport has limited load capacity, high costs and fast delivery times, while land transport has high load capacity, volume versatility and flexible schedules depending on of the distance. It is concluded that the appropriate international means of transport to export Miski chocolates is land transport to Perú, because it preserves the merchandise, its costs are cheap and it is adequate for the distance from the place of origin to the place of destination.
