Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the importance of the development and use of playful didactic materials for the development of mathematical logical reasoning focused on students and teachers of elementary school, at the "Juan Montalvo" school in the city of Machala. Therefore, by means of carrying out this research, it made it easier for us to know the reality of the educational environment where the phenomenon of study was found and thus be able to have a better overview of the problems established in this project. For the data collection, the three instruments were used, which are: the survey, the observation guide and the interview and with that it was possible to obtain as a result the little knowledge that the teacher has in the elaboration and use of the didactic materials. playful during math classes causing the low level of the student to solve mathematical problems with ease. According to the methods that were used for this investigative procedure, they were deductive and analytical, deductive because it goes from the general to the particular and analytical, because it will be analyzed in an orderly and more detailed way to the object of study and the results obtained in this project. Therefore, it was essential to use two approaches, which are the following: quantitative, because the magnitude of the phenomenon under study is going to be measured through tabulation and those results obtained are going to be represented by tables and charts to achieve a better understanding and qualitative because the tabulated results will be subjected to analysis and interpretation by the authors. The level of research is explanatory, relational, purposeful and descriptive. In the first place, it is explanatory because a brief explanation of the type of phenomenon under study, the causes and effects of both dependent and independent variables will be given, then it is relational because the variables will be related to the problem established in this investigation. , also proactive because we elaborated a proposal to be able to give a solution to the phenomenon found and, finally, descriptive because each of the characteristics of the study variables will be described. According to the feasibility of the proposal that was constituted by dimensions such as technical, economic, social and legal, each one of them was taken to be able to show that it met the needs of the institution and the project elaborated, it was also possible to observe that in Regarding the economic dimension, a considerable expense was generated for the creation of the didactic guide and the proposed playful didactic materials, for which it could be solved in a feasible way, also within the social dimension it was possible to see that this proposal will be of much use. It helps for teachers since it is a support material to teach their math classes in a more dynamic way since they leave aside traditional teaching, thus making students more eager to learn and able to solve mathematical problems quickly.
