Rol del trabajador social frente a la violencia intrafamiliar en el cantón Arenillas, durante el año 2020

Abstract

This essay is based on the problem of domestic violence in Arenillas Canton manifested during the year 2020, the period in which the pandemic arose by COVID-19. The family being a group of people with common kinship ties, coexist and develop within a home seeking the welfare of those who make it up. However, during this period of study, confinement was experienced to protect the health, various problems arose, among which it is worth highlighting intra-family violence. For this reason, the objective of this study focuses on analyzing the intervention of the social worker in the face of domestic violence in the Arenillas canton during the year 2020. The social worker's role is significant because he/she can provide support to the victims of this kind of abuse as it is so necessary since his/her intervention strategies help to mitigate the consequences of this issue; and based on the information gathered in this investigation, was evident that the role of the social labor could not be fully developed due to the fact there was no direct interaction with the family since social service was not ready for intervention in these times where everything was carried out by telematic. This essay's methodology is bibliographic with a qualitative approach since the theoretical foundation and the understanding of the problem must be analyzed.
