Los valores éticos y morales y su influencia en la intervención del trabajador social en el campo de la salud

Abstract

The human being is a free, independent being, owner of his actions, decisions and obligations, however, he is immersed in society, that is why his actions must be according to what is called correct or incorrect; and this is measured through the values of the human being, of which there are several types, this section focuses on the ethical and moral values of the individual. Likewise, the focus of this research is directed to one of the fields of intervention of Social Work, such as the field of health; in order to investigate how ethical and moral values are immersed in the fulfillment of the functions of the Social Worker in said area. It is important that these premises are known by society, since in this way it is contributing to an adequate action on the part of the professional in question. To address the issue, we will start by defining each theoretical construct, and then proceed to relate these concepts and determine how ethical and moral values influence the intervention of the professional in that area. The health area was chosen because it is considered to be one of the areas in which the Social Worker has to demonstrate his capacity, gift of people, principles and values inherent to his person and professional career, since his actions are clearly linked to intervening in situations of vulnerability that a user is going through.
