Alternativas actuales de tratamiento en la fibrilacion auricular aguda.

Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Atrial fibrillation is the most prevalent supraventricular arrythmia and constitutes an important cause of morbidity, mainly in adults over 65 years of age, so a correct diagnosis and management of it will allow the patient a better quality of life and a longer survival. OBJECTIVE: To describe the different treatment strategies in patients with acute atrial fibrillation by means of the bibliographic review of scientific articles in order to expand current knowledge of it. METHOD: A search of the latest bibliographies was performed using scientific databases such as: PubMed, MESH, COCHRANE, NCB, NIH and Medscape to gather information about the current strategies available for the treatment of Acute Atrial Fibrillation, using scientific articles from 2016 to the present. CONCLUSION: There are different modalities for the treatment of Acute Atrial Fibrillation, however, this should be done in an individualized way and according to the hemodynamic situation of the patient, his risk factors, added pathologies, age of the patient and objectives to be achieved with the patient, being that the angular treatment consists of: the control of the rhythm, the control of the heart rate and the anticoagulant therapy, in addition there are surgical treatments that can be done for the control of the disease.
