Mediación familiar en la protección de derechos del adulto mayor del Hogar Geriátrico Quirola de Machala en el año 2020

Abstract

This essay exposes on family mediation as a conflict resolution mechanism in the family nucleus, thus guaranteeing the free exercise of the rights of the elderly at the Esteban Quirola Gerontological Home in the city of Machala. Mediation is one of the most effective alternatives when you want to resolve a conflict, be it of a family, community, educational, or labor nature, because this process allows the parties in question to reach a mutual agreement where both parties benefit. Involved, being carried out in a faster way and also taking into account the needs of each of those involved in the problem, in order to avoid reaching a judicial process. On the other hand, the violation of rights often occurs when the elderly person is in a state of dependency where some of the rights that are most frequently violated is the freedom and autonomy to make their own decisions, control of its goods, health services among others. This research is framed within a qualitative approach, through the documentary and bibliographic review of the investigations that have been carried out and based on family mediation, that is, the analysis and interpretation of the information, the method is narrative because it allows to understand, organize and synthesize coherent management. The search was carried out on the scientific platforms Dialnet, Scielo and Redalyc, Scopus, as reliable, trustworthy and validated sources.
