La fotoilustraciòn: herramienta de visibilización de ingredientes más relevantes del cantón pasaje

Abstract

To talk about food culture is to understand everything that represents the identity of a territory, based on the action of feeding, related to historical, cultural meanings, which carry with it the elaboration of a dish. Its preparation includes: traditions, agricultural knowledge, myths, stories and rituals that are associated with customs inherited for generations. The province of El Oro, for its megadiversity shows in every corner of its territory a very diverse gastronomy, allowing to identify cultural aspects of a locality, and with them to demonstrate the products that are part of its preparation (ingredients) and its way of cultivating them and produce them that results in these becoming true tourist resources (Espeitx, 2004). But the visibility of these issues goes beyond the function of the media that represent them visually, Gutierrez (2017), for example, argues that photography, in addition to showing reality, should be merged with illustrations that make these representations into true forms of original and creative visual communication. In this context, the following research is carried out, where the results of the analysis of the importance of photoillustration as a tool for visibility of the most relevant ingredients of the gastronomy of the Pasaje canton are exposed, characterizing the photo illustration and determining how to make a photo illustration to make this type visible of topics. To carry out this topic, techniques such as: survey, document analysis, interview with experts were applied, which allowed us to contrast the information obtained from various perspectives of reality and reach a conclusion.
