La interculturalidad y su relación con el currículo nacional y la ley orgánica de educación intercultural

Abstract

Intercultural education prepares children, students and teachers for life in a diverse society. It is also an important tool to create a change in the educational system, inclusive, where anyone, regardless of language, physical abilities, gender, or race, can fully realize their potential and be respected. Intercultural education provides us with tools to support the process of discovery and understanding. Ecuador is an intercultural country, as stated in its Constitution, and in order to develop the educational sector, the Organic Law of Intercultural Education was approved in 2011, executing plans for interculturalization, among which is the national curriculum. The objective of the research is to analyze interculturality and its relationship with the National Curriculum and the agreement with the organic law of intercultural education, basing relevant aspects of coexistence in the educational context. As qualitative methodology was applied because it is an analysis of criteria of various authors, using the bibliographic technique for the collection of information, its contrast and analysis; obtaining as a result the application of the national curriculum adapted for its implementation within the classroom, rescuing the ancestral cultural customs that strengthen the identity of Ecuadorian society, its laws in force to carry out intercultural development through the required methodological strategies for an implementation according to the reality of its educational environment.
