Abstract

The psychological report is a written document, which plays as part of the psychodiagnostics closing process, for the purpose of communicating the results of the assessment process carried out by a mental health professional. In the case of children, this report is generally requested by professionals, such as neurologists, pediatricians, teachers, and parents or guardians. Being a legally valid document, it is important that a good psychological evaluation has been carried out, and that there is an appropriate structuring of the data, since they must follow a logical order and be interrelated, as well as being written in a clear and concise manner while using scientific language. A psychological report has an enormous validity since it teaches us many aspects of an individual and their environment, which is precisely the reason why the objective of this project is to explain the correct structuring of a child’s psychological report, elaboration guidelines, criteria and evaluation instruments. The methodology used to prepare this guide was the review of scientific articles and other documents found on the web; As the end of the research process on the subject, it can be concluded that the child psychological report is a result of psychological assessment and contains a reflection of the child's inner life and its relationship with the environment, being a document that seeks to explain the conduct of the subject, indicating personality traits and aspects of interest as the case may be, ensuring the protection and safety of human integrity.
