Abstract

The main objective of this research work is to carry out a bibliographic investigation about the implications that affect the helplessness learned about the context of gender violence, using the theory of causal attributions; In the first instance, the terms such as: violence, gender violence, learned helplessness, causal attributions are defined, to later link these terms so that the information is clear, during this process it was used to deepen in an essential way the classifications, elements and components that were of vital importance for the understanding and analysis of thoughts, ideologies or constructs that are part of gender violence. The human being as a thinking and civilized being that he is, has abandoned his primitive impulses or at least tries to do so, he uses rules, norms and laws to maintain a healthy coexistence that allows them to live in harmony, however there are still specimens that they ignore and they break the rules, violence falls into this category, it has been normalized for many years. In some aspects and in some cultures, violence within relationships was common, seen as part of the relationship; The aggressor, having the support of society, of his norms and rules, can exercise, justify, even restructure the thoughts of his victim, therefore it is necessary to understand the causes that generate violence, how and why? the aggressors choose that path of violence, what is their objective to achieve?
