Resumen:
The following research contains the importance of the technical study before making an investment, this being its main objective and the subject to be investigated. The methodology used was quantitative qualitative, through bibliographic and field research. In the first case, different scientific articles and texts of some authors were consulted, and the second point, surveys were applied to 10 entrepreneurs from different productive sectors of the province of El Oro, El Guabo canton, urban area, whose results indicate that the Most entrepreneurs have created their businesses only empirically or by taking advantage of an opportunity that is presented to them in a timely manner. Finally, it is concluded that, despite not having technical studies, the investments have been accurate.

La siguiente investigación contiene la importancia del estudio técnico antes de realizar una inversión, siendo este su objetivo principal y el tema a investigar. La metodología empleada fue cuanti cualitativa, mediante una investigación bibliográfica y de campo. En el primer caso se consultó en diferentes artículos científicos y textos de algunos autores, y el segundo punto se aplicaron encuestas a 10 empresarios de diferentes sectores productivos de la provincia de El Oro, cantón El Guabo, casco urbano, cuyos resultados indican, que la mayoría de los empresarios, han creado sus negocios solo de manera empírica o por aprovechar una oportunidad que se les presento en el momento oportuno. Finalmente se concluye que, a pesar de no tener estudios técnicos, las inversiones han sido certeras.
