Abstract
To determine the preference of the birth position of the pregnant women who attended the "Velasco Ibarra" Health Center, Machala - El Oro, from April 1, 2018 to May, 2019. Descriptive - observational, non-experimental, retrospective design, quantitative and analytical synthetic method. Statistical analysis was used, using SPSS version 24 software.Of 577 pregnant women, 53% preferred the sitting position, 45% the lithotomy and 1% kneeling and squatting, respectively.The position preferred by pregnant women for delivery was the sitting and lithotomic position

Determinar la preferencia de posición del parto de las gestantes que acudieron al Centro de Salud “Velasco Ibarra”, Machala - El Oro, desde el 01 de Abril de 2018 a Mayo de 2019. Estudio descriptivo – observacional, no experimental, de diseño retrospectivo, método cuantitativo y analítico sintético. Se usó el análisis estadístico, mediante el software SPSS versión 24. De 577 mujeres gestantes, el 53% prefirió la posición de sentada, el 45% la litotomía y el 1% arrodillada y cuclillas, respectivamente. La posición preferida por las gestantes para el parto, fueron la posición sentada y litotómica
