Abstract

The purpose of this knowledge integration project was to elaborate a tourism planning proposal that contributes to the tourism development of the Chillacocha Lagoon belonging to the Chilla canton of the province of El Oro, which has natural and cultural attractions that enrich the tourist part of the canton, however, it lacks tourist services that condition the tourist development of the canton, that is why an analysis of the tourism system was carried out to determine the barriers, limitations, strengths and opportunities that condition and contribute to the strengthening of the Chillacocha Lagoon. With the methodology used and the respective methodological instruments such as: hierarchical ranking, interviews and surveys, it was possible to analyze its potential and establish a plan of action through programs and projects that will contribute to its development.
