Abstract

Promoting appreciation of the cultural heritage and mineral riches of the La Telma mine is essential to preserving its identity. Given that interest in mining activity has been losing, the main objective of this work is to propose mining tourism activities through a route that reveals the distinctive characteristics of the Canton, promoting the appreciation of its cultural heritage. The methodology uses a combined approach that involves both quantitative and qualitative aspects, using a variety of research methods to achieve the desired results. The route includes several activities of great interest that tell the story of what the La Telma mine is.
