Abstract
The present investigation seeks to understand forensic auditing as a tool to prevent fraud based on basic concepts, methods and tools used by this branch of auditing for the detection, prevention and monitoring of criminal financial acts, the same as They have been increasing over the years and where forensic auditing has been used as an inspection and control system.

En la presente investigación se busca dar a entender a la auditoria forense como herramienta para prevenir el fraude partiendo de conceptos básicos, métodos y herramientas que utiliza esta rama de la auditaría para la detección, prevención y seguimiento de actos delictivos financieros, los mismo que se han ido incrementando con el pasar de los años y en donde se a utilizado a la auditaría forense como sistema de fiscalización y control.
