dc.descriptionEl propósito de la investigación fue establecer la eficacia del tratamiento nutricional aplicado en los pacientes con obesidad de 20 a 64 años de edad que fueron atendidos en consulta externa de Nutrición y Dietética del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso durante el periodo 2014 –2016. La metodología utilizada fue de tipo descriptivo, longitudinal y retrospectivo, analizándose, de un total de 2129 consultas, 40 historias clínicas que revelaron un índice de masa corporal mayor o igual a 30. Los resultados indicaron que el 87,5% de los casos de obesidad son mujeres y el 12,5% son hombres. Como conclusión se llegó que el tratamiento aplicado es eficaz ya que tiene un nivel de éxito del 52,5% de los pacientes al poder cumplir la meta de reducir el 10% o más de su peso corporal en 12 controles continuos.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the research was to establish the efficacy of nutritional treatment applied in patients with obesity from 20 to 64 years of age who were treated in the Nutrition and Dietetics outpatient clinic of the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital during the period 2014-2016. The methodology used was descriptive, longitudinal and retrospective, analyzing a total of 2129 consultations, 40 medical records that revealed a body mass index greater than or equal to 30. The results indicated that 87.5% of obesity cases are women and 12.5% are men. In conclusion, it was found that the applied treatment is effective since it has a level of success of 52.5% of the patients to be able to meet the goal of reducing 10% or more of their body weight in 12 continuous controls.es_ES
