Abstract
Firearm injuries are changes in living beings due to the operation of the elements that make the action of integrating the shot, from the expert medical point of view. Objective: To describe the characteristics of firearm injuries from the perspective of forensic traumatology. Materials and methods: Descriptive, retrospective, the search for scientific articles was carried out through the official pages of Pubmed, Elsevier, Google Academico, Redalyc, The Lancet, previously reviewed in the world ranking to select the studies that belong to quartile 1. Conclusion: It was described the characteristics of injuries caused by firearms, analyzing the size, location and caliber of entry of the projectile

Las lesiones por arma de fuego son los cambios en los seres vivos debido a la operación de los elementos que hacen la acción de integrar el disparo, desde el punto de vista médico perito. Objetivo: Describir las características de las lesiones por arma de fuego desde la perspectiva de la traumatología forense. Materiales y métodos: Descriptivo, retrospectivo, se realizó la búsqueda de artículos científicos mediante paginas oficiales de Pubmed, Elsevier, Google Academico, Redalyc, The Lancet, previamente revisados en el ranking mundial para seleccionar los estudios que pertenecen al cuartil 1. Conclusión: Se describieron las características de las lesiones ocasionadas por arma de fuego, analizando el tamaño, situación y el calibre de ingreso del proyectil
