| dc.description | The present work based on bibliographic reviews emphasizes the lesion mechanism of ankle fractures, making a brief anatomical count of it. Subsequently, the classifications issued by various authors based on the mechanisms of fracture production are listed, among the most used are the classification of Lauge Hansen, Danis Weber and the AO System. Among the diagnostic methods for confirmation of ankle fracture are imaging studies, the main one being radiography, where the Ottawa criteria are explained for the application of the same and as an adjuvant in cases of chronic symptomatology, magnetic resonance imaging. As a last resort, the alternatives of treatment, surgical or not, according to the type of fracture caused by the type of lesion presented, and the possible complications that may occur according to the case, are explained. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo basado en revisiones bibliográficas enfatiza el mecanismo lesional de las fracturas de tobillo, haciendo un breve recuento anatómico del mismo. Posteriormente se detalla las clasificaciones emitidas por diversos autores basados en los mecanismos de producción de las fracturas, entre los más utilizados tenemos, la clasificación de Lauge Hansen, Danis Weber y el Sistema AO. Entre los métodos de diagnósticos para la confirmación de fractura de tobillo están los estudios de imagen, siendo el principal la radiografía, donde se explica los criterios de Ottawa para la solicitud del mismo y como coadyuvante en casos de sintomatología crónica la resonancia magnética. Como última instancia se explica las alternativas de tratamiento, quirúrgico o no, según el tipo de fractura ocasionada por el tipo de lesión presentado, y las posibles complicaciones que pueden presentarse según sea el caso. | es_ES |
