Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Systemic lupus erythematosus as an inflammatory, systemic, chronic autoimmune disease, within a large number of people who have a serious complication; Its prevalence is around 50%, and if it is a terminal renal failure in the period of five to 10 years. OBJECTIVE: To describe the clinical picture of lupus nephritis in patients under 20 years of age by reviewing the scientific literature for the effective management of cases. METHODOLOGY: For the collection of scientific information, search articles articles in databases such as COCRHANE, PUB-MED, LATINDEX, published since 2014, in indexed journals. CONCLUSIONS: The characteristics of lupus nephritis in people under 20 years, has the initial principles with the rash on the wing butterfly and renal involvement, which means that age is an important element in the diagnosis of disease that must be taken into account for future cases that arise

INTRODUCCION: El lupus eritematoso sistémico considerada como una enfermedad autoinmune inflamatoria, sistémica, crónica, dentro de una de las diversas manifestaciones tenemos la nefritis lúpica que es una complicación seria; su prevalencia es de alrededor de 50%, y si no se trata puede causar insuficiencia renal terminal en el lapso de cinco a 10 años. OBJETIVO: Describir el cuadro clínico de la nefritis lúpica en pacientes menores de 20 años mediante la revisión de literatura científica, para el efectivo manejo de los casos. METODOLOGIA: Para la recopilación de información científica, se buscaron artículos científicos en bases de datos como COCRHANE, PUB-MED, LATINDEX, publicados desde el año 2014, en revistas indexadas. CONCLUSIONES: Las características de la nefritis lúpica en personas de menos de 20 años, tiene presentaciones iniciales con erupción malar en alas de mariposa o afectación renal, lo que denota que la edad es un elemento importante dentro del diagnóstico de la enfermedad que debe ser tomada en consideración para los futuros casos que se presenten.
