Abstract

Ex post environmental assessments facilitate the monitoring and regularization of projects or works in operation, which makes it possible to control the impacts generated on the environment, this serves to minimize the consequences on the natural environment, establishing action plans in cases necessary, it also allows us to determine the level of compliance with the environmental management plan, guide to good environmental practices, current environmental regulations and execution of environmental items or activities. The purpose of this work is to carry out an ex post environmental evaluation of the project. Reconstruction and expansion of the Santa Rosa - Puerto Jelí road, Santa Rosa Canton, El Oro Province, based on the environmental management plan used in the construction phase. and operation, guides for good environmental practices and the environmental items considered for the execution of the project. The collection of information was carried out through the contracting entity GAD provincial of El Oro. The methodology used is based on the application of conformity and non-conformity matrices that serve to determine the level of environmental compliance of a project or civil works in functioning. In order to establish the evaluation criteria for the matrices, talks were held with residents of the sector, former project workers, and visits were made to the site where the work was built. Lastly, the results of the ex post environmental assessment are represented by statistical pie charts along with their respective analysis.
