Proceso de atención de enfermería en la obesidad infantil

Abstract

Childhood obesity is defined as excess body fat resulting from an imbalance between high caloric intake and decreased energy expenditure, it is considered a chronic, multifactorial and complex pathology that occurs as a consequence of the excessive accumulation of adipose tissue, represents a serious global public health problem that needs to be addressed urgently because it is progressively reaching alarming conditions. The objective of this research was to carry out care plans for infants with obesity based on Marjory Gordon's Theory, the methodology used is descriptive, scientific information was obtained from various databases. The application of the nursing care process based on the theory of Marjory Gordon allows to assess the functional patterns that are altered in infants with obesity, the proposed interventions are aimed at parents who are the main caregivers and children who from an early age they can acquire healthy habits that favor the preservation of their health.
