Abstract
The present investigative work, obeys the purpose of carrying out in the “La Tembladera” wetland an exhaustive analysis on the tourist potential that it possesses, to identify those variables that require improvements to increase tourism activity, generating high possibilities of development for the community and therefore, to the canton. The Methodology proposed by the Tourism Ministry will be used, such as the "Methodological Guide for the Hierarchy of Attractions and Generation of Tourist Spaces in Ecuador", which allows to analize various points that directly influence the touristic attraction. In addition, the information obtained through the SWOT analysis and the Tourism System will be taken into consideration.

El presente trabajo investigativo, obedece al propósito de realizar en el humedal “La Tembladera” un análisis exhaustivo sobre el potencial turístico que posee, para identificar aquellas variables que requieren de mejoras para incrementar la actividad turística, generando altas posibilidades de desarrollo a la comunidad y por ende, al cantón. Para ello, se hará uso de la Metodología propuesta por el Ministerio, como la “Guía Metodológica para la Jerarquización de Atractivos y Generación de Espacios Turísticos en Ecuador”, misma que permite analizar diversos criterios que influyen de manera directa con el atractivo. Además, se tomará en consideración la información obtenida a través del análisis FODA y el Sistema Turístico.
