Desnutrición infantil en la parroquia Casacay y la intervención del trabajo social comunitario

Abstract

Malnutrition is a disease that affects the population worldwide, the group most prone to suffer from it are children, generally the main causes are linked to low economic income or diseases that compromise the nutritional status of the individual, however, it can be prevented. The essay addresses the importance of knowing about child malnutrition, statistical data at the macro and micro level of child malnutrition will be presented, where the right to health and nutrition of children and adolescents is emphasized within the framework of the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador and the Code of Childhood and Adolescence, which is the instrument for the regularization of this vulnerable group. Topics such as health prevention are highlighted; community social worker performance; importance of the active participation of social actors and the need to work together with support networks in order to reduce social problems.
