Abstract
The present work had as purpose to value the quality microbiological, and purity of the water that the population of the parish consumes The Iberia, located 18 kilometers of the city of Machala. The tests were carried out them taking all the established cautions to be able to determine the presence of bacteria’s giving as a result that in the waters of the river Jubones prevails the Escherichia coli, that is one of the bacteria’s that is in the bowels of the included animals the man and therefore in the served waters.

El presente trabajo tuvo como finalidad valorar la calidad microbiológica, y pureza del agua que consume la población de la Parroquia La Iberia situada 18 kilómetros de la ciudad de Machala. Las pruebas se las realizó tomando todas las precauciones establecidas para poder determinar la presencia de bacterias dando como resultado que en las aguas del Río Jubones predomina la Eschericha coli que es una de las bacterias que se encuentra en los intestino animales incluido el hombre y por ende en las aguas servidas.
