Evaluación de la planta de tratamiento de agua potable del sitio palenque del cantón Pasaje, provincia de El Oro

Abstract

The present work is based on the technical evaluation of the potable water treatment plant of the Palenque site, of the Pasaje Canton, El Oro Province. Due to the operational problems that slow sand filters currently present, the pertinent studies were carried out, including the physical-chemical and bacteriological analysis of the raw and treated water, the survey of the existing plant, granulometric analysis and determination of the degree of filtering the filter bed, number of users, provision, among other relevant aspects to better understand the problem and be able to determine with more accuracy the factors that affect its operation. The purpose of the assessment is to determine if the existing structure adheres to the Design Standard for potable water supply systems, disposal of excreta and liquid waste in rural areas Standard CO 10.7 and to establish a technical solution that adapt to the current infrastructure that improves its functioning and guarantees water quality for the current and future population.
