Abstract
This document seeks to provide guidance on strategic planning, and its importance in food sales MSMEs in the city of Machala. An investigation was carried out using scientific documents collected from different important journals, in order to substantiate the importance and benefits of strategic planning. And finally, by personally conducting 10 surveys of different MSMEs of food sales in the City of Machala, he learned about this type of business without formal strategic planning.

El presente documento busca brindar una orientación acerca de la planificación estratégica, y su importancia en las MiPymes de ventas de alimentos en la ciudad de Machala. Se realizó una investigación utilizando artículos científicos recolectados de distintas revistas importantes, para así fundamentar la importancia y los beneficios que tiene la planificación estratégica. Y por último mediante la realización personal de 10 encuestas a distintas MiPymes de venta de alimentos de la Ciudad de Machala, se conoció que este tipo de negocios no cuentan con una planificación estratégica formal.
