​La motivación en el rendimiento escolar en los niños del subnivel preparatoria en tiempos de pandemia

Abstract

This research work aims to contribute significantly to the development of the activities that teachers plan in their classes with the intention of improving the participation of children and in turn strengthening their school performance. Therefore, the research is oriented to determine the motivation in school performance in children of the preparatory sub-level in times of pandemic, and in order to fulfill the proposed objectives we proceeded to the bibliographic and documentary review of scientific articles, the methodology used was framed in the quantitative approach, and the descriptive correlational design, since the information collected was analyzed and described in addition to the situations that were developed in the context of the object of study. Since the population was small, in order to apply the techniques and instruments that allow the collection of pertinent data, it was decided to choose the teachers where we carried out the pre-professional practices, in this sense, the sample consisted of 25 high school students between the ages of 5 and 6, to whom a direct and indirect observation form was applied, while a closed interview was used with 2 teachers. As a result of the research, considering the importance of motivation in the teaching-learning process for children to maintain adequate performance during times of pandemic, the implementation of a guide of methodological activities through games is proposed, which will be very useful for educators, since in addition to motivating students, it will strengthen the teaching work. Finally, it is concluded that motivation is a fundamental part of the teaching-learning process since it influences and allows the acquired learning to be significant and lasting.
