Abstract

Sex education is fundamental for the adequate development of the human being, which many times is confused with the sexual act, involving a social confusion that has negative repercussions on the education of children, adolescents and parents; in the majority of cases when it comes to giving sex education the family is inhibited since within all this there are myths and taboos about sexuality and even more so in families where there is a member with some disability; considering these as asexuals and angels. Sexuality is an intrinsic component of every human being, it is a very broad concept that encompasses affection, reproduction of sexuality and personal relationships in law that every human being has in recognizing the difference between male and female bodies, so it is necessary that parents recognize their children as independent sexual beings if they have or do not have any different characteristics and even more if they have a child are down syndrome. By means of practical workshops with the objective of developing a plan of psychoeducation for parents with children with some disability Down's syndrome, Supported under the cognitive condutal theory, being the one that presents more favorable results in the modification of thoughts and of mental structures, managing to be the best option to teach on sexual education because it is going to modify the negative thoughts that the parents possess about the sexuality and disability.
