Abstract

Parenting styles are a set of strategies that parents use in the care of their children within the home with obligations and responsibilities and the distribution of roles, to contribute to educational formation and good learning performance. The main develops a system of workshops on parenting styles to strengthen family participation in the teaching – learning process of children from the “Héctor Toro” General Basic Education School, with the purpose of improving the communication, affectivity between parents and children through a guiding process, their attitudes, actions, feelings and beliefs used in the educational practices.
