Reporte de caso: linfoma epitelotrópico en un perro Shih Tzu

Abstract

Cutaneous epitelotropic lymphoma is a rare neoplastic disease with a presentation similar to atopic dermatitis, which is why the diagnosis is complex; it has several forms of presentation and the caseload is higher in older dogs. The clinical case of a 7-year-old female Shih Tzu is described, a patient from the city of Ambato-Ecuador, with a history of recurrent skin problems without resolution despite the treatments received. The laboratory tests did not show obvious alterations, while histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of cutaneous epitelotropic lymphoma. The therapeutic management was established based on the present symptoms, unfortunately the guardian did not go to the oncology service and did not return for control.
