dc.descriptionLa diabetes mellitus tipo 2, es una enfermedad que compromete la salud y calidad de vida de las personas que lo padecen, y representa un gran desafío para el sistema de salud de todo el mundo al no lograr los objetivos terapéuticos planteados al surgir lo que se conoce como la no adherencia terapéutica en los pacientes, incrementando el riesgo de morbimortalidad cardiovascular y aumento de hospitalizaciones. El análisis de estudios de diferentes autores, permite identificar las causas para la no adherencia, destacando la falta de compromiso del paciente, el incumplimiento de régimen nutricional y de estilos de vida saludables, desconocimiento de la enfermedad y del tratamiento, esquema terapéutico complejo, progresión de la enfermedad y relación profesional sanitario-paciente.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe diabetes mellitus type 2 is a disease that compromises the health and quality of life of the people who suffer from it, and represents a great challenge for the health system throughout the world as it does not achieve the therapeutic objectives set when what occurs It is known as therapeutic non-adherence. in patients, increasing the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality and increasing hospitalizations. The analysis of studies by different authors makes it possible to identify the causes of non-adherence, highlighting the patient's lack of commitment, non-compliance with the nutritional regimen and healthy lifestyle habits, ignorance of the disease and its treatment, complex therapeutic scheme, disease progression and the health professional-patient relationship.es_ES
