Propuesta de plan de conservación vial del tramo de carretera Zaruma – Atahualpa en la parte alta de la provincia de El Oro

Abstract

When there is a quality road network, it is understood that the development of a region or city is good, however, constant traffic and various climatic factors can affect the state of the pavement surface, for which it is necessary to maintain it. in order to continue having a pavement that offers us comfort and safety. The objective of this work is to evaluate the deterioration of the flexible pavement in the section of the Zaruma - Atahualpa highway in the province of El Oro, as a result of the consequences generated by the winter season in the area. For this reason, it is intended to propose rehabilitation activities embodied in a routine and periodic road maintenance plan, which guarantees the serviceability of the road network. In order to arrive at the elaboration of this plan, the evaluation of the characteristics of the road must be taken into account, such as, pavement, drainage system, slope stability, signage. Through the preparation of an inventory, field information will be obtained, which will consist of dividing the analyzed road into road sections in order to identify the greatest number of irregularities that the road presents.
