Intervención del trabajador social y tipos de violencia que padecen las trabajadoras sexuales PLAPERTS en la cuidad de Machala, 2022

Abstract

The following degree work deals with a direct approach to the group of women who practice sex work belonging to the PLAPERTS Institution Latin American Platform of People who do Sex Work in which the pertinent investigation was carried out with the help and intervention that carried out by the social worker in the study of the problem. The applied methodology helped to collect relevant data; Through various stories lived by the women involved, it was also possible to verify the types of violence they tolerate within their work environment and the stigmatization they receive from society. In addition, it was possible to identify that the role of the social worker is fundamental for the accompaniment of women sex workers in public services such as the Ministry of Public Health, and the follow-up of cases that require and address more attention. Therefore, the objectives set out in this research was to know the intervention that the social worker has with women who perform sex work, and through the results of the index of psychological and physical violence suffered by women, the intervention plan was raised with the aim of in order to be able to raise awareness and provide necessary information about this vulnerable population to society.
