| dc.description | El banano (Musa sp) es un cultivo de gran relevancia socioeconómica para el Ecuador. Las coberturas o mulch orgánico constituyen una práctica que puede promover cultivos más productivos, de mejor calidad y con menor impacto ambiental. El objetivo del trabajo fue evaluar los efectos de la aplicación de mulch orgánico en el rendimiento y parámetros agronómicos en el cultivo de banano. El diseño experimental fue de bloques al azar con dos tratamientos, T0 (sin mulch) y T1 (con mulch) con 140 repeticiones respectivamente. En los parámetros agronómicos se mostró que la altura de la planta, largo de hojas, ancho de hojas y área foliar en el tratamiento sin mulch muestran mayor crecimiento. Sin embargo, el tratamiento con mulch se obtuvo mayor emisión foliar y número de hojas. Se encontró significancia en el tiempo de cosecha, peso del racimo, peso mano del sol, altura del hijo y no presencia de años de trips. El efecto del mulch hizo que el tiempo de cosecha sea superior en el tratamiento T1, pero mejora el peso y sanidad de los racimos cosechados. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Banana (Musa sp) is a crop of great socioeconomic relevance for Ecuador. Organic mulching is a practice that can promote more productive crops, of better quality and with less environmental impact. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of the application of organic mulch on yield and agronomic parameters in banana crops. The experimental design was a randomized block design with two treatments, T0 (without mulch) and T1 (with mulch) with 140 replicates, respectively. The agronomic parameters showed that plant height, leaf length, leaf width, and leaf area in the treatment without mulch showed higher growth. However, the treatment with mulch showed higher leaf emission and leaf number. Significance was found in harvest time, bunch weight, sun hand weight, son height, and no presence of thrips years. The effect of mulching resulted in a longer harvest time in the T1 treatment but improved the weight and health of the harvested bunches. | es_ES |
