Abstract

In the import process in general and of perishable products in particular from the international market or country of origin to the country of destination, it is to consider the faithful compliance with the customs tariff requirements and the respective documentation: prior authorization, phytosanitary, quality and origin certification; in addition to the Commercial Invoice, which are enabling documents for import. In response to the research requirements, the following objective has been established: To determine the import logistics process for perishable products coming from the international market. In order to comply with this objective, we proceeded to the selection and prioritization of bibliographic information relevant to the subject of the proposed case study, with the purpose of supporting theoretically the subject of analysis and subsequently, in accordance with the technical requirements related to the importation of perishable or perishable products from the country of origin to Ecuador. It is concluded that the logistic process of importing perishable products includes: logistics of loading and transportation from the country of origin, customs clearance of the product, transportation process in the country of origin, unloading in the country of destination, customs clearance of the imported product, compliance with import taxes, transportation and unloading in the country of destination, marketed and consumed.
