Abstract
Injuries are manifestations of aggression against the physical integrity of a person, coming to be considered a crime in certain circumstances according to the current judicial system, it is also one of the reasons for consultations that have been increasing in health services. The doctor within his competences must attend to any person who refers any alteration in his health. Therefore, it is in charge of defining and identifying the signs and symptoms that these patients may present. In the same way, you must know the correct filling of the pertinent legal medical documents, given by the Ministry of Health, to facilitate the writing of the forensic report of injuries. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the medical contribution in the classification of injuries and its wording in the legal medical documents for a correct elaboration of the legal medical report in the process of expertise applicable to the current scenario of health and justice in Ecuador.

Las lesiones son manifestaciones de agresión contra la integridad física de una persona, llegando a ser considerado como delito en ciertas circunstancias de acuerdo al sistema judicial vigente, además es uno de los motivos de consultas que han ido aumentando en los servicios de salud. El médico dentro de sus competencias debe atender a toda persona que refiera alguna alteración en su salud. Por lo cual es el encargado de definir e identificar los signos y síntomas que puedan presentar estos pacientes. De igual manera debe conocer el correcto llenado de los documentos médicos legales pertinentes, dadas por el Ministerio de Salud, para facilitar la redacción del informe forense de lesiones. OBJETIVO: Analizar el aporte médico en la clasificación de las lesiones y su redacción en los documentos médicos legales para una correcta elaboración del informe médico legal en el proceso del peritaje aplicable al escenario actual de salud y justicia en el Ecuador.
