dc.descriptionEl objetivo principal de la investigación es analizar el comportamiento del desempleo y la inflación en el Ecuador desde la dolarización hasta el año 2019, mediante la aplicación de la Curva de Phillips. De tal manera que nos permita realizar un análisis acerca de tales variaciones, a través de datos obtenidos de fuentes oficiales como el Banco Central del Ecuador (BCE) y el Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y Censos (INEC) considerando que Ecuador es una pequeña economía dolarizada dependiente del rubro petrolero. Los resultados explican que existe una relación inversa entre desempleo e inflación desde el año 2000 hasta el año 2009; a diferencia del año 2010 hasta el año 2019 que refleja una relación directa de dichas variables. Concluyendo, que la inflación incide de manera positiva en el comportamiento del desempleo a largo plazo.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe main objective of the research is to analyze the behaviour of unemployment and inflation in Ecuador from dollarization to the year 2019, through the application of the Phillips Curve. So that it allows us to carry out an analysis of such variations, through data obtained from official sources such as the Central Bank of Ecuador (ECB) and the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC) considering that Ecuador is a small dollarized economy dependent on the oil sector. The results explain that there is an inverse relationship between unemployment and inflation from the year 2000 to the year 2009; unlike the year 2010 until the year 2019 that reflects a direct relationship of these variables. Concluding, inflation positively affects the behavior of long-term unemployment.es_ES
